About Khoibeat-Productions

Welcome to Khoibeat-Productions, an independent home recording and music production studio founded and owned by Desmond A.J. Meyer, a South African-born, Swiss-based guitarist, recording engineer, producer, and lifelong student of music.

Music has been at the center of my life for decades. As a performing guitarist, I have had the privilege of working with a wide range of musicians, bands, and artists both in the recording studio and on stage. These experiences have given me a deep understanding of the creative process—from the first spark of an idea to a finished production ready for release.

My journey into audio production began in the late 1990s, when digital recording technology started transforming the music industry. Since then, I have worked extensively with Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs), gaining hands-on experience with a variety of recording, editing, mixing, and production platforms. This long-term involvement with digital music production allows me to adapt to different workflows and help artists achieve professional results while maintaining their unique sound and artistic identity.

In 2011, I completed my Audio Engineering Diploma at SAE Institute, further strengthening my technical knowledge of recording, mixing, sound design, acoustics, and modern production techniques. Combining formal training with decades of practical experience has enabled me to bridge the gap between the artistic and technical sides of music creation.

Whether you are a singer-songwriter, band, solo artist, podcaster, voice-over artist, or content creator, my goal is to provide a comfortable and creative environment where ideas can develop naturally and be captured with care and attention to detail.
